displayed on the yearly senior composite.
The grade 11 exit-level tests, required for students in grade 11 in the 2003-2004 school
year and thereafter, cover English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies
and require knowledge of Algebra I, Geometry, Biology, Integrated Chemistry and
Physics, English III, and early American and United States History.
Graduation Programs
The Borden County I.S.D. offers the following graduation programs. The counselor and
school principal can help you decide which program is best for you.
Currently, a student must complete at least twenty-four (24) credits to receive a minimum
high school program diploma. These include:
English language arts (4 credits)
Mathematics (3 credits)
Science (2 credits)
Social studies (2 ½ credits)
Economics (1/2 credit)
Health education (1/2 credit)
Speech (1/2 credit)
Physical education (1 ½ credits)
Technology applications (1 credit)
*Electives (8 ½ credits)
*One elective must be world history studies, world geography studies, or science.
A student in the Recommended high school program is required to complete twenty-four
(24) credits, including:
English language arts (4 credits)
Mathematics (3 credits)
Science (3 credits)
Social studies (3 1/2 credits)
Economics (1/2 credit)
Other languages (2 credits)
Physical education (1 1/2 credits)
Health education
