Campus Technology Director

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • The Campus Technology Director is responsible for maintaining the campus computer network and infrastructure including, but not limited to, selection, purchase and inventory of software and hardware, troubleshooting network and user problems relating to both hardware and software.
  • The position requires working with all staff and students in areas that involve the use of instructional technology, and requires knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Office, PEIMS, managing servers, and a number of other instructional technology applications used by BCISD students and staff. Must also be able to maintain and update district website and social media outlets.
  • The Campus Technology Director completes all tasks and files all applications and documents associated with e-rate.
  • The Technology Director also performs a number of administrative and technology related duties as assigned by the principal and superintendent.
  • The position will require a 227 day employment contract.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with computer networks, school district end user applications, and instructional technology within a school district are required.
  • A college degree in a technology field or specialized training in the areas of Computer Information Systems, Network Engineering, or IT are strongly preferred.
  • The applicant must be able to fulfill all the physical requirements of the job including moving equipment, lifting, and be able to work on assignments after normal business hours.
  • The applicant must be able to pass criminal history checks, complete a physical examination & drug screening, and be eligible for employment in a Texas school district as set forth by state law.

 

Salary is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience, the district furnishes employee housing and pays the employee premium for TRS Active Care Health Insurance.
